A bed bug army can wake you up in the middle of night in addition to leaving scratchy rashes on your limbs and other parts of your body. These bugs are usually found in furniture items such as beddings, sofas, mattresses and the like, and they sustain themselves on human blood. Even though they are not essentially nocturnal, they tend to bite you the most at night when you are sleeping and not in a position to defend yourself against their attacks.

In order to eradicate them you need to first figure out the common hiding places of these bugs. This would help you figure out an effective way of eradicating them and take preventive measures against their re-entry. It is upon you to decide whether you want to do this on your own or if you want a professional's help.

To kick start your bed bug elimination exercise, you have to vacuum clean and if required steam clean your room extensively, especially your mattresses and other cushioned furniture. You should also ensure a thorough cleaning of all your bedspreads and pillow cloths at a temperature that will kill any remaining bed bugs and their eggs that might be present in them. Scrubbing off floors and other solid surfaces with a hard brush and a cleaning liquid helps in wiping off traces of bed bug eggs laid here and there.

Once you have finished the cleaning, you should ensure that you dispose all the waste collected while cleaning far away from your house, so that the bugs do not have any way to access your residence again. Once you have got rid of the bugs, you should make sure that you block every gap in your house, especially around sewage.

It is recommended that you use natural and organic pest control measures in the bed bugs extermination exercise and avoid dangerous pesticides or chemical solutions, which can prove to be harmful if they come in contact with your items of daily use. It is also important to stick to the rules of basic home cleanliness and hygiene, to get rid of bed bugs and get back your sleep and peace of mind. - 30446
